The nasal spray delivery produces a spray of expelled formulation, which is directed into the nasal cavity. AMI's nasal spray delivery is classed as a "systemic delivery". This means the active ingredient goes through the nasal mucosa and reaches the general blood circulation via numerous capillary vessels present underneath the mucosa. In this case, the nasal cavity (Figure 2) is used as a portal of entry into the blood stream. This avoids drug degradation when passing through the gastrointestinal tract. When compared to the oral route, nasal delivery technology devices have following advantages:

• Elimination of gastric and hepatic drug degradation.
• Fast onset of action.
• Fewer side effects due to the potential reduced dosage of the drug.

Nasal delivery treatments are generally provided under a long-term treatment program. As part of the treatment program, AMI will arrange for a fully licensed pharmacy to fill its patients’ individual prescriptions and supply medications to those patients.

AMI's medication/nasal spray acts to twofold:

1. The first ingredient opens blood vessels in the penis.
2. The second ingredient stimulates production of hormones in the brain which are responsible for causing an erection.
